Wellbrook is centrally situated, being less than two hours drive from Dublin, Cork, Rosslare Harbour or Shannon Airport.
Wellbrook is an ideal touring centre for the Slievebloom Mountains, Slievenamon, The Rock of Cashel, Tipperary's Golden Vale and the Waterford coast.
The village of Freshford, with all the usual services, is only one mile away and the immediate area is rich in archaeological interest. Kilkenny City, in ancient times the capital of Ireland, is a major attraction, boasting many artisan and craft workshops, an International Arts Festival and award-winning restaurants.
The internationally acclaimed Mount Juliet Golf Course is only half an hour away, while excellent golf courses at Kilkenny and Gowran Park are even closer.
Horse riding, tennis and hill walking are readily available, while hunting and angling in season can be arranged.
